The core functionality of the Bridge-IT software has been designed to
handle all of the everyday activities likely to be carried out by your
dental practice. However you can greatly enhance the capabilities of the
software by requesting additional program modules. These extensions
integrate seamlessly into Bridge-IT giving you easy access to even more
powerful functionality.
The following modules are currently ready for the
Standard and
Professional Editions of the Bridge-IT software. New modules will be added to the list as they become available.

Speech Recognition
Using the latest technology, the Speak-IT module enables the provider to
literally tell the computer what to chart. Using either a wired or
wireless microphone, the dentist can specify the treatment as well as the
teeth they want that treatment applied to. The speech recognition
feature also extends into other areas of the program such as the internal
word processor, allowing letters to be "written" by verbal communication

Postcode Recognition
Minimize mistakes and speed up entry of the patients address details
using this helpful extension. Simply key in the postcode and Bridge-IT
will instantly fetch the correct registered address for that residence.
Postcode recognition can be installed to display either street level or
premise level information.
Patient Education
Educating your patients has never been easier than with this extension.
Using the latest high definition technology, this module allows you choose
from over 160 animations covering virtually every procedure you are likely
to perform in surgery. The program displays and records which animations
have been shown to the patient ensuring you are covered in the event of a
dispute. Full colour leaflets can also be printed and given to the patient
before they leave so that they can make truly informed decisions about their
treatment plan.
Document Scanning
Bridge-IT already houses a document manager which allows you to connect
documents (such as Word, PDF or Excel files) to the patient record. However, this
module enables the program to communicate with any twain compatible scanner,
facilitating the scanning of documents directly into the patient record.
Mobile Phone SMS Text Messaging (Requires internet access)
This extension gives you the capability to send a text message directly to a
patient's mobile phone reminding them of their appointment or recalling them
to your practice. This module also allows the recipient to reply to
your message which is then sent to any e-mail address of your choice.
Arrival Touchscreen
Arrival monitors your practice appointment
diary and displays the name or code of each patient as they are due to
arrive on a touchscreen monitor. As the patient enters your
practice, they simply select their details on the screen and are instantly
transferred into the Bridge-IT virtual waiting room, alerting the reception
desk and the provider in surgery that the patient has arrived.

NHS Capability
This extension allows dentists to administer NHS treatments on their
patients, giving them full access to all the functionality necessary to
produce the relevant claims details required by the Dental Practice Board.
Claims can be made either through printed forms, or via EDI internet
communication direct to the DPB web site using the latest XML standard.
Data Sync for Mobile Dentists
This module has been specially designed with the mobile dental industry
in mind. Each dentist can take their laptop to their patients and use
the program perfectly normally on the PC for as long as they wish.
Then when they are in a suitable location, they can link up to the central
server using a mobile modem and immediately synchronize the data back to the
main database. |
